Vermont: I need your help

Hey everyone in Vermont,

so I need help and the whole story is pretty long so I will try to keep it as short as possible.

I flew together with another friend to Boston last week (from Germany) and our plan was to buy a car here, ski the East Coast, drive through the country and then ski Mammoth.

We actually bought a car and we also got plates in Vermont yesterday. Problem now is that we can't get insurance for the car because we don't have an address here in Vermont and you definitely need one to get an insurance for a car here. We have an address in Boston but we can't register our car there because it's not possible with a german drivers license.

Soo, we are looking for some supernice newschoolers member from Vermont who could help us. Here's how: We would need a real address where the supernice newschoolers member lives and could put one of our names on his letterbox so that we can retrieve some paperwork there and he would have to send it for us to an address in San Francisco.

We are already struggeling with this car buying thing for over a week so we would be so super grateful that we nearly would do anything in return for this supernice newschoolers member.

Peace

Help us drive this beast to the West Coast :).

Lol good luck to you but maybe you should have researched this a bit more before jumping head first into it. Assisting a foreign national with fraud on an insurance application? No thanks lol, but I'm 100% sure you will find someone on here willing to do it (honestly).

And season is almost over. Hope you're staying til next winter cuz there's not much now.

Edit: weird how they let you buy a car and get plates without proof of insurance.

All joking aside I really hope this all works out. Mammoth is awesome. Maybe try more insurance companies OP. Seems like at least one of them will want to take your money. Also I'd try some of those independent insurance broker guys too. IDK maybe call Vern Fonk it seems like your van belongs in his commercials.

Thanks everybody who tried to help us. We figured something out but it will take at least until Monday so we drove to Mt. Snow now and will stay here for the closing weekend. If somebody's here hit us up, always nice to meet other ns!

Ah ok, thought this is the last weekend. We will definitely leave on Sunday.

Yeah they extended it to the 22nd, would be there right now but I feel like shit.

Sooo, we made it to the Westcoast where we are skiing in Mammoth right now. Sick trip so far and the weather in Cali is perfect at the moment.

We will travel further to Mt. Hood next week so if anybody's there and sees us with our truck, hit us up!

Also, our Beast is now for sale in the Portland area and available around May 27 to 29.

Check out all details on craigslist and in the video below.

Two years ago, my uncle was in a plane crash. He was a pilot. I still find it difficult and sad to remember and even more to talk about it... The only small consolation was that his life was insured. I got a decent amount of money because of my husband's profession. People might think that it's materialistic but it is better to insure the lives of your loved ones if they work in hazardous work. When we applied to the general insurance company, we were also offered such as comprehensive insurance including life, health and property insurance, but we only insured his life but probably better to insure everything that you have including your life and your property.

Fuck off spammy spammer. So in this fake story of yours, who died? Your husband or uncle. If you're gonna spam, at least make an effort.

Oh and I'm not kidding. There are now ICE/police checkpoints on the major highways in New England. Good luck, you god damned morons.

Hope you had a good trip. I have people ask me all the time where they should go when they visit America. I tell them to drive borrow, rent, or buy a car and drive as far as they have time and money for.

The road is the only way to get a feel for many places, and countries like the states, this holds very true.

Good to hear things worked out! Safe travels!

Yes, we did have a very good trip and we successfully sold our car in Portland for pretty much the same amount of money we bought it on the East Coast. And you are very right, on the road you can get a very good feeling for the country and this feeling is a lot different from what you hear and see on the media (no matter if in Europe or somewhere else).

Great to meet you on the chair! Hope I can make it to Austria to ski sometime.

Yeah man, always nice to meet other ns in real life.

I brought back about 1.4TB of images and videos. Already edited all the photos but I am still working on all those video files. The whole story about the trip will be out at the beginning of next winter. I will (hopefully) translate the story in english as well and then post it here!
