Vancouver Island surf question

Hey guys not skiing related but just thought i ask here as I'm sure someone knows.

Is there much surf on vancouver island in the late spring/summer? I know its probably pretty tame compared to the fall. Is there still decent waves however during this time either north in tofino or even south in Jordan river?

There is surf, but it is super mellow compared to the winter from what I understand. I've surfed tofino in August several times, I've had it all for waves. Days where the waves barely break, wind-chop shit wind, and once I got lucky with the biggest summer swell they had in years, which at the time was pushing my comfort zone. For the most-part I've had a fairly consistent gentle push, and the major beaches get fairly crowded on some weekends. But its a beautiful place and no matter where you are, surfing is fun.
