Post your rigs and post how you deal with the smell of sock sweat. I wanna see what y’all got and where you’re going and why you’re going there

I pee on my crusty socks and dry on dash with defrost on high , gives those toe hairs that special glow

Nobody told me my camper smelled like crap until 10 months in, I redid most everything and soaked a bunch of cabinets and my fridge with vinegar and baking soda, but candles were my best friend until then….

but the real winner is my Chinese diesel heater

I just sold my rig cuz I need a vehicle with good gas mileage, but whatever car I end up buying I'll probably do some sort of conversion

Simple CRV weekend set up but it gets the job done and is easily removable when I want back seats. I run it with a foam mattress pad and a thermarest underneath that and it stays pretty warm. Headpieces flip down so you can lay all the way straight, flip up so the seats can move back to drive. Did a bunch of bike trips in it this summer and have used it in the winter a few times for skiing too, it’s not much but I love it.

Here's your answer to good gas mileage if your a minimalist

It's a prius

Here's my rig. 11-15 mpg definitely is ass. It's a beast in snow though.

A prius is definitely a good option. My buddy had one for a while and said it was great for winter camping because you can sleep with the heat on (it will run off the main battery until the battery dies and then the motor will kick on automatically to charge it).

Hard part is finding a good deal on one where you won't have to replace the battery.

My old rig

Super simple set up. I hanged curtains off of self taping hooks in the ceiling and then hooked to suction cups on windows to black out.

I also built a small shelf on the left side that fit small organizer’s.

I spent more money on the van.

2003 350 econoline-$3000

Lumber/hardware for full size bed frame- $130

Full size mattress on close out-$380

Lived out of it for a couple years ( summer only)

Bought this Transit AWD as a stock, empty shell and started ripping it up last summer. It was pretty pricey but I was able to basically live / camp in it while Airbnbing my condo on the weekends so that all evened out. Just another douche in a tall van I guess:

Buildout process is never ending, using 80/20 aluminum to frame it out. End goal is to have the amenities of one of the mainstream Sprinters but half the price. I can’t fathom spending $150k+.

Hawaii rig is a taco with a GFC:

The Taco just shipped over last week, it’ll live on a buddy’s farm most of the time. So stoked for this one.
