Vail's Status

Im flying out to vail tomorrow. The website and app say that there is nothing challenging open right now. Will anything open in the next few days? Is the skiing still fun?

just spent 6 days in vail and only hit the resort once. game creek bowl just opened today but from what I can tell conditions are still pretty yikes. skiing's fun if you make it fun, but you can only take so many groomer laps before you go crazy -- if I were you I'd look into traveling into summit county to make some turns at breck/keystone/a basin!

East Coast >Rockies right now

Actually upon further reflection I agree with this statement.

Vail sucks ass

Breck is insanely crowded and flooded with yellow jackets

Keystone's park is on point but barely anything else is open

Abasin is fucking awesome though. Skied there last Wednesday and had my best day all season.

Terrain status too man breck had like 20 trails. Jay is fully open and getting dumped on, same with Stowe definitely not worth the money to go west. Below vail - 45in season total then jay -131in

Currently in Vail now and theres still barely anything open, brown spots everywhere and they don't even have anything close to a park. That being said, it's still significantly more fun than the where I ski in the south east and I took a day trip to keystone the other day which was dope.

It's wild to see how shitty Breck is these days. It used to be a pretty dope spot... now it is basically Disneyland.

Honestly if you want pow rn fly out to Michigan and ski at boho. They have like 200 inches on the year and are just getting fuckin nuked currently. Crazy conditions out there right now.

All the resorts in the area right now are absolutely horrible. I have the full epic but have only been skiing A basin for the most part. Skied vail on the pow day last week and it sucked. A basin by far has the most fun terrain and best quality snow. Key's park is pretty dope though right now.

Got into Breck today from Banff (where it was -25 to -33 degree (c) over the past week.

I was honestly without words. The highest mountains in the breck area had really no snow. I ended up going out for an hour or two and it was honestly just dreadful. Ended up walking around town with a t shirt and shorts with no issue..... Can we really debate global warming at this point....

Pretty pissed that we left Banff where it has been awesome for this. (planned the trip months ago so couldn't do much.

Anyone got any recent first hand experience of conditions at A Basin or Keystone? surely they must be better then Breck at the moment....

I know a bit of powder is supposed to fall this weekend but TBH at this rate it will pretty much melt by days end.
