Just wanted to see who ski's there. And what you think or what you have to say about it. I got a job Grooming there Iam moving out this tuesday the 4th of Nov. I'm Original from Racine, WI. Thanks

 
I'm there from time to time. So pretty much when I have the money. Thats bad ass your going to live up there. Hopefully your not living there in town or else you'll be spending all of your money you make on rent...it sucks.

 
I have a CO pass so will hit Vail/Beav 10 times this winter. I live in Glenwood.

Haven't heard about Vile but Aspen got a foot of snow last nite so I suppose

its there too. So will you be making snow?

Iam living in Edwards. No Iam not making snow at vail just grooming. Though I was offered a snowmaking Job at Keystone, At Beaver Creek I was also offered a job making snow and grooming. Also got offered a Job at A-basin working lifts which is way gay. Park City offered me a Grooming Job.

 
Congrats, Im sure you'll enjoy vail a little more than Tyrol. I also made the move from the MW, and I think Vail is great, good rails and the bowls are fun to fuck around in.

well I do have a degree in Ski Area Managment from Gogebic Community College in Ironwood, MI I did my internship at Blackjack Ski Resort in Bessemer, MI. http://www.gogebic.cc.mi.us/departments/sam_div/

Hell yeah it should be the shit at VAIL has to be better then the midwest.

This guy at beaver creek that I was talking to that offered me the snowmaking Job said it was all about the GOGEBIC name its such a program and school.

But when Vail called I knew thats where I wanted to go right away.

 
yo, im gonna be living in edwards (moms house) from december 13 to january 20 and skiing vail and beaver creek like i have my entire life.

the park could be sick, if LaTerra would get off his fucking ass and listen up to some of the pros there. The jumps are sometimes good, and the rails are fun.

If ur grooming at night we should for sure hook up and ride. Should be a good crew up there again this year.

yea, there are a lot of little grommits in vail that are stepping it up. Taylor, Spriggs, Brett Bronca, and a bunch of other little guys. They are gonna be kicking some ass this year. It should be a good winter

And you don't have to go to MI to get it. CMC Leadville offers an associate degree

in ski resort operations and mgmt.

 
Gogebic has a better program cause they have a Ski Hill on Campus that is used as a lab for all the class's that works out great. we should all try to meet up sometime when the mountain open's. it looked sick today when I was driving in from denver to edwards. but so did copper too.

 
dude, im gonna tell you now, you are one of the most forturnate lucky bastards in any ski town. all the groomer guys i know back at steamboat are the coolest guys ever and easily get 100+ years, heres the ultimate plan you gotta follow if you work the late night shift:

Start at Midnight and you'll usually go till 8, head back to the garage where they probably have a ski locker for all your shit, get dressed and you'll be out by 8.30, just in time for the lifts to open and get first tracks, ski till lunch, go home (oh yeah, buy yourself some heavy, black curtains), sleep for 8 hrs, get up, do it again. it kinda takes some getting used to and seems like it cuts out on the nightlife but if the crew at vail is anything like the one at Steamboat, its a crazy bunch of fun dudes and you always have the weekends too to party and you'll be used to the allnight grind a lot better than your other friends.

thanks man it should be great. i belive the hour's at vail are 3:30pm tell 2am and 2:30 am tell 1:00pm I hope I get the night shift cause I know a bunch of people that will be working that one should be a blast and then i can still ski alot and alot. who needs sleep fuck it.

Seems to me the snowcats are hitting it about 4pm. Shouldnt you be off about midnite?

In the old daze that was about prime time and a guy that wasn't faced could make out pretty well.

 
yeah, thats how they do it, pretty tight schedule, they do the same thing for the summer jobs they offer, i did it for killing pine beetles and cutting down infected trees, it was tight.

I was at vail today and they had made snow at the base right by the gondola kind of cool to see. I have pictures I will try to get them on here

excellent snow, just got 8 inches today , 12 since friday, parks are good, i think beaver creeks beats vail but whatever, i its nice, i really wish one of them had night skiing on there park, thad be sick

the park should be nuts I guess. the halfpipe is almost done its fucking huge this yeah I guess which is why its taken so long to open and make. tuesday the park and pipe might be open.

 
I ski at Vail.

Hit up Marvins today...thee coldest snow I have skied in years....nice to lay down a line and not see another track around you.

yep its up the jib park is open. the super pipe is open but icy. they cut it for the first time last night. one jump so far but there still blowing snow. I will get pictures tommorrw of it.

 
almost everything is up, except the pro park at the bottom. The pipe, a few jumps and the rails are open.

laterra is still gay and all the rails are flat except the flat rail at a slope, and the kink. Nothing big, but it flows well. I'll be there tomorrow for sure.

are the rails all still step up in the same area as they were last year? i don't like how there is the table section and the rail section and they are seperated..

 
Hey all....Me and a couple of my roomates will be driving out to colorado from minnesota on the 10th.... We will be staying at christie lodge in avon.. We'll be up for some parties and shit if anyone wants to clue us in..
