Loosely related but buddy of mine texted me a picture of a pay your age day ticket from April 09. Last pay your age of a classic season. First year Carinthia. Moghr have been when they had the mini pipe on mineshaft. Inferno jumps were lit, everything was stacked.

Skate ramp sesh on the deck after. Classic

RIP

FUCK VAIL

When my brother snowboarded he dropped in off the roof. I’m pretty sure a bunch of people used to do that.

Also who was the legend that grinded that buck cheese grater stairs handrail on the side of the lodge? I remember someone doing that and they had a huge poster or mural of it at one point

That’s because they don’t have a working lift to get to any other park hahaha

I see all this VAIL IS KILLING PARKS but then Stowe's over there with the first early season hike park they've had in a decade (granted it's tiny). What gives?

idk what gives over there but look at the difference in trail maps at big boulder park which is now big boulder mountain. first map was before they renamed and and the second pic is now.

wow, that's Epic™!

One of the best nitro builds I’ve ever seen opened up today, peep carinthia’s story, shits insane.

Right before new years as well, and it sucks not a lot of jumps but it’s more of a snow issue it seems. For the snow they have, I gotta say, one of the best December builds I’ve seen in my lifetime now that I think about it. Looking at gulch too, shit looks so fun. Might make a trip back east to ride there not even kidding

Carinthia wasn’t too bad last weekend. They don’t have a lot of snow. My only complaint was the metal rails were dangerously sticky lol

Haha dude I was there too. They also started blowing snow on the gulch in the afternoon which made the rails impossible to slide. I almost died on the hand rail my first run down in the afternoon

They used to have a sick rail jm in the spring. They built their pipe with all snow becausr they couldn't do dirtwork on the forest service land. They had tons of snow to work with. Something sick about 2 lanes the size of the pipe in april or may or whenever they had it.

Was up at Jay Peak this past weekend.

Good lord the Northeast Sucks. 20 days ago there was 2 feet of fresh snow on the ground, now like every mountain are 50% open.
