Yeo I’m headed to vail and can’t bring my skis, any good rental places that I can get some decent skis. All mtn type and good for minor park stuff. If this doesn’t exist anywhere, what should I do? Thanks bois

With the price of rentals in vail, you might be looking at 30+ dollars a day..So it would depend on how long your skiing. If I were you I would maybe look into consignment stores around Vail or some of the smaller towns around Colorado. You could definitley buy some beater skis, and not have to worry about rental fees and return times etc...

You could check Transition Sports in Avon which is right down the road from Vail. They have used skis that are usually in decent condition. Chances are you could buy a pair cheaper than renting for a length of time.

I’m staying for a week so you think it’s worth it to get some beaters? Plus that’d just be another ski to bring home and I wouldn’t complain with that

Its up to you. Maybe look around online price check a but. Any of the big rental companies in Vail... Like breeze, Vail sports, Christie sports etc... Are gonna charge 30 bucks minimum, more realistically 40 per day.. It could be cheaper if you get them for the whole week though.... If Your skiing 5 or 6 days that's at the least, 150 bucks most likely more.. And you have to deal with rental agreements and possibly getting fucked for getting a core shot...

On the flip side you get a pair of beater skis possibly a similar price could be more, could be less... But either way You don't have to worry about rental company BS. If you don't want to ship the skis back don't, just give them away to a local or something...

Take a look...

Weigh your options.

You could also probably find a budget hole in the wall rental place and ski on some skis from 2003, for real cheap.
