Vail breaking my brain

What is this even tryna say... One sec complaining about the CEO getting paid, the next demanding they pay more.

Someone who has only been in the job for three months.is obviously gonna get paid less.

Social media activists don't have to maintain any core principles, they're all just chasing likes in order to serve the almighty algorithm.

"Vail needs to cut wages of all their money hungry resort employees" lmaoo I think this is very obviously a joke

She was only ceo for a couple months in 21, these numbers are so variable anyway, with stock options and bonuses.

I did find this from 2006 though,

"Vail Resorts’ new chief executive Rob Katz will receive an annual salary of $815,000 – the same that outgoing chief Adam Aron was making after 10 years with the company.

That salary equates to about 4,254 percent more than the typical $9-an-hour lift operator working at one of the company’s ski resorts."

$9 an hour in 2006 is like $12 hr today, what a historically shitty company, no wonder they think $15/hr is too much.

Lmao 815k in 2006 is equivalent to 1.127 million today, which is far less than what Kirsten is earning.

To be fair, the Vail system was not as rich or widespread back then.

Instagram is an advertising platform, more likes = more money.

Salary is not total compensation, the numbers being thrown around aren't really comparable. But note Katz came in making the same salary as the guy before him who had years of experience as ceo, a point you might be interested in considering you highlighted the fact he had more experience as ceo than Kristen.

Snow cat operators are to blame for that. Ski patrol do so much more like getting terrain open, sweeping slopes on close. They also need medical experience or and idea as such. I make more than a ski patroller being in customer service at a Home Depot. Some patrollers do make a lot more than others though. Experience is important in that field.

I thought the same thing, I thought they were talking about the male/female pay gap. but also the issue is the money on hand that vail has while also barely paying their employees a living wage and furthermore just being shady. I think its too soon in this fuck-vail-revolution to talk about that pay gap, probably better to focus on the employees now. the CEO's have enough money to be set for 3 lifetimes regardless of the gap or not

How is paying an executive (that makes a ton of money still mind you) more money going going solve their issues? Lol twsnow on some trickle down economics shit
