I'm going to be in Vail starting mid-december.. anyone else in the area down to chill/ski/round of beers? I'm working at a hotel, have no idea whatsoever of the area
 
Go to the Little Diner in Lionshead and get their Corned Beef Hash....holy F its soo good.

Or Moe's for BBQ, or Tap Room on Mondays for $5 All You Can Eat Wings......
 
Explore blue sky basin, the gapers can't get back there because it's to far and there are plenty of good lines if you know where to look. Other then that i don't go to bars when I'm in vail because everything is to damn expensive.
 
i've got mon tues wed off to freeski all season. will be out riding! if you want to bomb runs and find side booters

i rode up with this dude on the gondi who said 15 to 18 inches was needed before they'd open up bluesky. he said theres a bit of snow there already but the cattrack to it is all dirt from cats taking it.

he was like the mastah of bluesky, i forget his actual job title
 
I'm headed to Beaver Creek this weekend (18th, 19th & 20th) and just realized lift tickets are $105 a day... is that serious? Anyone with a means for cheaper lift tickets & that wants to shred hit me up. Beer is the incentive. Thanks!
 
I just got here and will be here through the end of march. I know the mountain super well but don't know many people living here so i would love to ski with anyone.
 
not sure what that means but I would say it's the exact opposite. Blue Sky always gets super crowded when there's new snow especially over the end Winter Break. But at this point it might not even be open by then.
 
Ore house - restaurant/bar.... would be convenient if there was a whorehouse because finding an attractive chick in Vail is like looking for a parking spot - all the good ones are taken, only available are either handicapped or way the hell out there
 
Blue Sky is fun. The two years I lived and worked out there I went out there maybe once. It just takes so long to get out there. And like it was said earlier in this that's where all the gaper's head any ways. I Believe from lions head to the top of Blue Sky is 7 miles. In are snocats from the top of lionshead it took almost a hour to get back there too.
 
It's because the park manager is a ski racer, the park leads have never worked in a terrain park before, and the crew just smokes weed all day long.
 
Opening two lifts on Thursday, I'm thinking 17 and 21? I could be wrong though. And some on blue sky on Friday. Peep their Facebook for full details.
 
Sick as hell, spent all day long skiing blue sky everywhere!! Not crowded at all there...But my day was ruined as soon as I seen my recently bought gopro 2 footage to discover it was corrupted! every single photo and video...FUCK.. i believe it was in the prima cornice....SUPER SAD :(

 
I spent most of my morning there, it was sick!

The lifts were pretty crowded, but lines were quick and the runs weren't bad at all.

Ayo, what up from the east coast. Ill be out in vail at the end of november for 11 days. Any update on the park would be nice and i was wonderin if anyone on ns skis golden peak? also hows the snow? i heard you guys got dumped on today. lucky :)

i dont get why everyone is so excited about this, it would be great if it was any other monday, but that shit is going to get tracked out so fast.
 
For anyone who cares, Vail has a really good park set up right now in Golden Peak. John Spriggs has a new edit of the park if you're interested.
