Hey, really pushing my luck with Dr. NS here but whateverSo i'm headed to costa rica at the end of the month and i wondering if i should get vaccines.I went to years ago and did. And i also went to nicaragua last year and got a second doseshould i be ok for this year?Thx if you can help

ive been 4 times and never took one vaccine and was fine, just stay away from uncooked meat, dirty water (aka pretty much all their water) so stick to bottled water even in retaurants or your hotel/hostel whatever lodging, and where a raincoat if your gonna bone, and dont stick yourself with any dirty needles

you should be set vaccine-less if you follow these friendly preventive measures

Ive been to both Costa Rica and Nicarauga and didnt get vaccianted and didnt have any problems. Just dont drink the water in Lake Nicarauga and you'll be fine!

You'll probably be fine depending on how long you go for and what you intend on doing, I know I wouldn't get any if I was there for less than a month or two. Go to a travel clinic to ask there and surf some travelling forums before committing to anything. Also look into what your insurance will cover, some of the pills and shots may seem pricey but a good plan can get you virtually all of your money back.
One thing I wouldn't not go there without are a set of prescription strength anti stomach flu/diarrhea/cramping pills. These can be a lifesaver. Lastly, consider that you can probably buy pills there for much cheaper than in North America.
