does anyone have the 03/04 vokl v-expressions, and how do you like them

I dont ride them but we sold like 4 pairs in our shop this year. not a bad ski for a beginner but i wouldnt recommend them for much else. the one kid i knew who brought them in for tunes ect wasnt a very advanced skier. he did some grinds, mostly boxes and a few...and i emphasize few...rails. from what i saw from workin on them, the edges cracked in a few places which was insignigicant but he just wasnt very aggressive. if you plan on doing rails at all, i'd say get the v-pros or the new karmas. the v-ex's are also pretty soft...i flexed them almost 90 degrees in the shop with my foot. a great beginner ski but that's what they're intended for...beginners. they have a huge tail rise on em too...pretty much the same as the tip. hope that helps

v-pros are ill shit. i been skiing them all year. took some gnarly falls on rails, like sparks coming off my skis and landing completely weird on them, but the edges and bases are fine. some little knicks from rocks in the bases but nothing serious at all. the top sheet held up real well, if you care.
