Hey Im from Ohio but I have an uncle in Killington who's been hyping UVM to me and Im just seeing if any of you go there or have anything to say about it..I might come up to visit it soon (im a h.s. junior) but is it a good school, fun etc. ..thanks

i went there my freshman year...it's sick. great academic program, great city, great mountains within 1-2 hrs, great party school, beautiful campus, i can just keep going. definately keep it in mind.

i hear its wicked fun, especially if you smoke pot. the school is pretty good too, but ah, the skiing isnt all that great, except for j peak. i would suggest packing up and moving west

 
i've been at uvm for the last few years...dylhole really is a dylhole if he thinks j is the only good skiing. jay is overrated and you obviously haven't hooked yourself up w/any locals to find the good woods and chutes. uvm is def good but the freshman are pussies now and don't go out anymore. i think it's b/c we throw bottles at them when they go past our house.

i visited it last week and its pretty cool, it is like right in the city streets of burilington and it over looks lake champlain, also there are free shuttle buses to ski resorts,(stowe,smuggs,jaypeak and like 5 five others are near by)

 
ya i think im coming up with my dad to check it out this weekend they're having a day for HS juniors or something so that should be exciting i guess

I decided on the latter cause I live in burlington but if I didn't I'd most def go. it's really a nice school (don't listen to adam --antadam) he doens't even live in a dorm. whatever, hope you have a nice weekend up here!

im a high school junior and am looking at uvm too. right now its uvm or st.michaels. u guys think u could give me some insight into either? i have a 3.7 GPA and play for a premier soccer team. what is the whole 'learning' scene like? the only thing that i think could keep me out of uvm is i need some mad financial aid. do they give scholarships or something?

 
i went into uvm with a 3.6 and got like 12k financial aid, but my parents don't make a 100k combined either so that probably helped. uvm definately has a better soccer program, better academic reputation, better campus, and closer to more stuff (city, mall, bars, etc).

are you talking about the downkink from main street or from redstone campus(both next to each other pretty much and identical). if so emil coty did the one from redstone. its in the axis magazine from the spring

if you go to uvm you can ski stowe practically everyday and that is one of my favorite mountains. when you learn where all the little chutes and cool trails are you'll have a blast, not to mention the huge hits they have in their park

 
i cant wait, they are def my first choice school. class of '08 i believe.

just don't do what I did and get into UVM only to screw it up before finishing a year. Enjoy it while you are there, but get your shit done.

 
i wanna go back...but my mommy and daddy won't pay 32k for school anymore. rule #1...don't fuck it up. i did and now i don't get to go there anymore and have to pay my own tuition. that sucks hardcore
