UVM ski passss

Which ski passes do people usually get as UVM students. Trying to plan financially. Was thinking about the college pass at Bolten and then an epic college pass. Do people actually go up to Killington or do they usually stay around Stowe cuz I might get a Killington pass too.

I graduated a couple years ago so my advice might not be applicable now. People usually get sugarbush passes if you ski a lot of park, stowe or mad river if you ski less park, people tend to go to killington early and late season but almost no one wants the drive that far in the middle of the season when other mountains are way closer. Bolton is cool cause it has night skiing and is close but their park used to be pretty sketchy, maybe they got better, and night skiing there is super cold.

had friends was there last semester sounded like sugarbush is the place to be. That being said you can get a college MRG and Sugarbush joint pass.

this. also heard UVM first years get $100 Jay passes.

I'm a freshman and got a Jay pass for $100 and the sugarbush/mad river combo pass for $400. I also have a Killington pass but I live closest to it. All in I'm at around $900 in passes

Thanks man, I’ll look into sugarbush more, never even really considered it.

Thanks for the numbers, do people usually just skip over bolten valley and go to the bigger resorts or did you just not want to get that pass too. My plan was bolten for some chill weekday afternoons bc it’s close but if people don’t go there much I might have to rethink it.

They don't run normal busses to Bolton and freshman can't have cars. I might get one next year when i can drive up after class though

4 years at UVM. First year I did Stowe and didn’t have the experience I was hoping for. Tried Sugarbush sophomore year and I’ve had a pass there every year since then. 9 seasons running and I’ll passionately promote that resort.

Some mountains might have more terrain or steeper trails or different snow. No other mountains have the people that make Sugarbush what it is. If you get a bush pass you give yourself an opportunity to be apart of an amazing community.
