Utah Storm

We're all talking about it. That was a biiiiig shift in storm totals between when I went to bed last night and woke up this morning. Not sure if I'm taking it seriously... if they're still projecting that tomorrow morning I'll let myself get excited

Just wish this wasn't coming on President's Weekend... nothing like a shit ton of gapers slamming the mountain during a storm cycle

Yeah saw that coming a mile away. 2-4" overnight in PC, another 2-4" during the day Sunday... LCC of course looking better with 5-9" and another 5-9". Wouldn't be entirely surprised to see those downgraded again by tomorrow, but Sunday still should at least be somewhat fun regardless.

damn. yeah i was getting stoked today because we thought we might actually get some snow for our trip but i guess we will just have to see

^it's definitely snowing on sunday. the question is just how much. it really could be anywhere from 6 inches to multiple feet. its hard to be exactly accurate predicting storm cycles in the cottonwood canyons. i'm stoked regardless.

Well NOAA says 4-8" in town in PC and it's currently not even snowing... ratz. Hopefully she's a late bloomer and Tuesday is the epic pow day when the chumps are back at work.

well this thread is getting a bit more action then other regionals here so if anybody is interested or knows somebody who might need tickets to alta in the next few days i have 3 for sale for $50 each. they can be used whenever. we decided no to ski tomorrow and had already bought tickets

Don't get me wrong if the forecast wasn't what it was I'd be pretty stoked about today. Lower Cirque had some good untouched snow, but the Cirque Traverse getting to it is a mess and bony as hell. Bottom of Gad Chutes had some great snow, but the top was bony and sketch. Tiger Tail had some great snow in spots, but another bony traverse with more rocks lingering the whole way down... the whole TT area needs another two feet before you can feel comfortable skiing it aggressively.

Ah well.... what else can you do with this winter but laugh at this point

Mad pissed I couldn't make it up to PCMR today. Oh well. It's supposed to be super nice the rest of the week. The park should be $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

^ "the way I see it, it's only just begun." - Happy Gilmore.

this is the classic Utah I've been waiting for all year!

Good god, Park City is super efficient. Literally every road within Park City proper has been plowed.

Another solid day at brighton, but about 4 times as many people were there. Snow wasn't as deep and a little heavier, but still really fun.

Can't get out today, but Canyons was amusing on Tuesday. Ended up getting the day off work due to our computers being down so I got there 10:30ish. Cab lot was completely packed out, had to park farther back than I ever have before. But once we got up we realized everyone was just hangin out in Red Pine, bottom of Tombstone, etc and not actually skiing. Skied right onto every lift from 10:30-close... gotta love tourists that hate storm skiing

Every ski area was tracked today by 11-12... they hyped this storm so hard and tuesday was so much better and NO ONE was at brighton at least

Same for pc. Got up there around 12:50 and shot up to pioneer chair and hiked scotts ridge. Some of the best turns of the year. Just surfed on it. Such a good day

We did an afternoon session at Brighton and it was fun, but man it sure did get tracked out quick. This morning must have been a mad house.

Wildcat laps on Alta were pretty good until noon when I left. I took 8 laps and didn't wait once.

best day of the year so far.

Good god some people get powderbrain bad. Got into a fight with an older gentleman who was drunk off his ass and slobbering like a dog because he ran into me when I was downhill and standing still - he booked it and never apologized.

Hahahahah. I was surprised how polite some dudes were today especially since one of the bowls opened and everybody was rushing to get up there. Just smiles and stoke all around.

That was consistent except for this prick and his buddies. Everyone else was stoked on life.

got some morning laps in Jupiter, really really good. was not expecting it. knee deep. light. :D

Hoping for some leftovers at the Can tomorrow. Condor Woods usually delivers... hopefully enough snow to cover all the shark teeth that were in the runout the last time I ran through it

Shiit sounds like it was awesome out there.

Can't wait to come out on the 13th for a few days. Hoping some good stuff will come down!
