whats up SG. Im flying out to Utah this weekend and have 3 days to ski and have the options of going to:

Snow bird

Alta

Solitude

Park City

Deer Valley

Brighton

Im from the east coast so park setups are unimportant as I can slide rails anywhere and it will be the same. I want to know where the snow is. I want to come back having made use of going out west. If there is pow anywhere I wanna know about it.

Well if you like steep you can't go wrong with alta and snowbird. from what ive skied, deer valley is overated, park city is pretty good {Mckonkeys and Jupiter are good for steeps and trees) canyons is big and has 9990 which is pretty sweet. for parks... well its in the name, park city is the best. canyons park is longer and still pretty good but their jumps are really flat. Those are the only places Ive skied. hope i was helpful.

I just got back from my first trip out to Utah. My favorite mountain was Snowbird, so big and some gnarly terrain. Park City was fun as hell for park days, plus I'm told like someone else mentioned Jupiter and McConkeys are fun too. Jupiter was closed when I was there and McConkeys didn't have much snow but this was a month ago. I really wanted to go to Alta, but ran out of money. If you've got only 3 days to ski Utah, I would say do Alta-Park City-Snowbird. Excuse my french but that would be a fucking sick 3 days.

thats an interesting way to poke at him........and slap him in the face at the same time

hahah just kidding

the catch is that this trip was completely paid for. the only expense will be lift tickets that i would be buying on the east coast anyway. so it is gonna be a kickass time regardless if the conditions are better/worse than east coast.

nothing can be worse than new yorkers at Okemo or Massachusetts steamers at Sunapee. so the crowd i can deal with.

low elevation/crust is what i ski on the daily.. not too worried.

Not to be a dick but if you have to ask where the good place to ski pow is in Utah on this forum then it probably doesn't matter what resort you ski at.

Come on up to alta you wont regret it, supreme lift will have you running laps all day. Park wise yeah, park city is pretty much the shit.

well if you go to alta i know a guy that knows directions to chads gap if ud be interested in hitting it.....

I was joking at the fact that the winter has been terrible and theres no snow anywhere. obviously no pow. but i do want to know where I would find the best conditions possible.
