school was canceled and skiing should be good tomorrow. bless to all. hope some of what utah gets comes your way.

they shut the whole gateway mall down. i think this is a little too hectic for the 5-8 inches predicted.

That's nuts. I guess they turned the fountain off too? I've never thought of it before but I wonder how often they do turn it off.

UDOT is restricting traffic from going up or going down. I extremely envy those who have houses beyond the gate. Thursday is going to fucking kick ass.

I'm kinda bummed they did that. But its supposed to be a high of 1 tomorrow with a windchill value of -30 with 40mph winds up at brighton. I'm gonna hit PC up tomorrow, then hit Brighton up thursday. I highly doubt anyone will be up at brighton thursday.

Good. Figures since not a lot of people go skiing before, the day of, and after thanksgiving. Fresh pow runs for days thursday. I will be up at pc pretty much the whole weekend.

As someone who lives in the valley, this is just a big hype train for the news and media. Yes, it's dumping now, at about 3" an hour. But it's definitely not a "blizzard". There's almost no wind (at least in Cottonwood Heights). And there's decent visibility.

Of course, the retards out on the interstate don't realize that you need to slow down. Listening to my scanner, like TWA said, it's a complete shit-show.

thats epic you got a scanner^^^ let us in on some funny ones!!!

also this storm just canceled my trip home.....looks like some deep pow at alta 2morrow!! GET SOME!

I'm not gonna lie. This storm so far has been a fail. I delivered pizzas all night tonight, and there is maybe 2 inches on the ground with no wind. Did anybody besides me do blood sacrifices?

Yeah. They hyped the shit out of it. I was planning on hitting brighton up tomorrow but they said the canyons were gonna be shut down. Now I am not sure if they are gonna be closed or not. Not really looking forward to skiing some park with almost 2 feet of freshies.

The wind is going to be a total bitch tomorrow though. Plus I highly doubt I can make it up to brighton tomorrow. Thursday though, I hope there will be something left.

yea we have got over a foot up at brighton just since like 4 or so when it actually startyed coming down, and luckily im right above the gates in bcc so if it gets closed i will have a good day.

Fuuuuuuu. I guess it is a good thing if the gates close. It'll keep a lot of the crowds out IF the canyon closes. Then thursday will be a fucking epic day.

there was no blizzard in salt lake. don't get why people were freaking out. definitely got crazy in the mountains though.

Blizzard, My ass. Its just pretty damn cold out. I thought I was going to have to throw on a face tube while shoveling this morning. It was like -3 degrees out.

the weather man hyped up this storm to be so big, but ended up being a fail. i heard someone say that the weather man said its going to be the blizzard of the century. gather food, batteries, and survival bags etc...welp. i bet the people of salt lake feel sorta kinda stupid now...

eh...all the MoMo's have a huge supply of food in their basements already. It was ridiculous at the Smith's before the storm though. People stocking up on water and stuff. hahah

Utah didn't have a blizzard. It snowed a little. Like less than it usually snows. And they closed everything. I don't get it.

They all freaked out because 3 inches of snow with high winds completely buttfucked seattle, its pathetic.

Exactly. Nothing even remotely close to blizzard-like conditions. It was cold as fuck when I was shoveling snow this morning at like 9.

4F at the base of Solitude at noon today, sure it was negative up on Summit. Beautiful bluebird day though.
