Anyone down there? Got an amazing scholarship offer that would save me some big bucks then I could transfer to the U. How is it? Skiing? Fishing? What's up down in Logan. My buddy wants to go as well but is hesitant because of the Mormons lol

Logan is a good town. Pretty good party scene. Skiing is not that great. Beaver sucks and Pow Mow and Snowbasin are a bit of drive. If you want to ski a lot, then the U is a much better option

Yeah I was really just wanting to get instate for a year then transfer, that's why I'm not going straight to the U.

Everyone I know who has moved to Logan either moved to SLC soon after or tried to get out of Logan often. It's definitely not the worst town in Utah, but it has serious morman vibes if you aren't into that. Some have called it more morman than BYU, which I frankly don't believe but something to consider.

Than being said, they have a lot of programs that the U doesn't have, especially natural resources and wildlife biology stuff. It probably wouldn't be the worst year ever, but you would want to get out to the U pretty quick if you don't mesh with their culture/programs. A kid I know got kicked out of school just for getting caught with beer in the dorms.

The U is awesome. SLC is one of the best cities in the West. Can't go wrong there unless you don't do well at a large campus.

logan is dope im from there and if you live up on campus or by it than its pretty cool. there are things to do but if you are wanting to ski park during the week than i would recomend park city or salt lake. But if you are into hiking and biking and snowmobiling or whatever than logan is the awesome

why not go to slcc and then transfer to the U? a lot of my slcc professors also teach at westminster and the U, you just really have to be picky when choosing professors
