Using songs from other edits in yours

Yes. Come on man, there is so much good music out there. The possibilities are endless. Just be prepared for people to tell you how much they hate the music no matter how good the song actually is.
 
it is if it was used in a movie or in a pros promo or if it is in a very recent edit but if it was just in some kids edit a few months ago its all good to use.... thats my opinion at least
 
agreed, and dont do a cheezy song to that everyone uses in there videos. do lil wayne no one does him in there videos.
 
Nothing is original. Everything has already been done in some form or another, so stop caring and do whatever you want.
 
I'd say your in the clear as long as you dont use party & bullshit. Tom wallisch pretty much slayed that song, so thats off limits because simply no edit can top that.
 
Yeah keep it fresh, although it is hard sometimes to know if a song has been used or not, so keep watchin edits to make sure it doesn't happen!
 
its just not as much fun, i like making edits that are all mine, ya dig? although i know its tempting

just keep trying it out with different styles of songs until you find something that works pretty good with your style and what you're edit is like. if something that has been done before sounds good in your edit, go for it, but bonus points for originality
 
Everytime I think, "no one will ever use this song," I see it in an edit a week or two later. Makes me so mad. Right when I think I have a good song someone decides to take it.
 
i have such good music on my computer that it hasnt even been made yet. and im gonna use it all in my next edit. your song is one of those
 
i think the main thing is that when you watch an edit with a previously used song is that it doesn't draw your attention to the former edit. if it's not something that you think might distract the viewer then it's game.
