Usher makes his awesome music using garage band -cool vid inside

basically title says it all... Usher's "Love in this club" was made with some simple garage band beats. fort minor makes their shit with it too (Believe me i think its called)

i hope this embed works

-if it doesnt: heres the link, someelse try and embed?

not Usher, but mega producer Palow da Don, also there was some producer back in the day that got sued for using a Casio loop sample, pretty funny

Maybe I'm just high, but did anyone else notice that wasn't Usher and it didnt sound nearly as good as the real song? I understand it was a quick demo of how it could be done, but I don't think Usher actually uses garage band to produce his music..

oh yeah i didnt reasearch it at all except for this vid, i could be wrong. but I dunno, cuz theres a beat for that fort minor song too which is identicle, so maybe they just "refine" or produce their garage band beats to make them sound better, and then throw it out to the public

Logic Pro is most likely what he used to make the track. Logic has all of the sounds and loops that Garage Band has plus a million more. The drum loop from Rihannas "Umbrella" can be found in Garage Band, but once again the track most likely was done in Logic. And you can thank Logic for the whole T-Pain Auto Tune phase cause I think Logic comes standard with the Antares Autotune plugin which is what everyone uses to give their voice that synthesized sound

the beat he made was way off beat and sounded bad, but he got the point through..

I dont understand why producers now think its fine to just use obvious garage band loops, what ever happened to digging, or hiding your samples? Justice does a great job of it, oh well.

digging as in digging through records i think he means cuz thats how the real producers find samples and if they find a good one keaping not telling anyone where they found it or what record it came from

pretty much, but as far as hiding, I mean manipulating the sample to the point where people could never tell what it was from, basically any kanye song and jay zs death of autotune are example of how NOT to do it. Jay z just grabbed a famous sample, throws some 808 and 909 beats on it, and calls it a day. good example of flipping samples

One time i was in garage band playing around and i randomly found the loop they used for the intro of "such is life", it was pretty cool.
