What is the money sign next to usernames? Also why do people have different color usernames?

The dollar signs are different donator amounts. If you've donated through the site store then you get one. As far as name colors go....

Blue: Normal Member

Pink: Ski gals

Purple: Content/community media/journalist

Gold: Member of the Month

Green: Moderator

Red: Administrator or staff

Orange: Pro/Company/Industry Insider

People with one color may hold multiple roles
