Used ski boots

was just wondering if any of you have ever bought used ski boots and had a good experience buying used. i need boots badly, mine are literally cracked in half.... and boots are sooo spend y new. so lets say i find a boot thats been used one season or so, if they in my size and not ruined and are a good deal would you guys say go for it ? just a question, ive botton used skis , bindings, but never boots. any info / experience with buying used would be greatly appreciated as i simply cant afford new shit this year.
 
I would only do it if you could get a pair for really cheep, just so you would have a pair that worked until you could afford new boots.
 
yeah in all honesty , thats probably the best idea in my situation ( if i can get something decent for cheap that'll last at least a half season)... thks for reply take care
