a couple questions- can it be cut on a table saw?what thickness?can you piece together a bunch without catching an edge?

search in the phone book "pastic" then there might be some local plastic shops. thats how i got 24 feet of HDPE for 100 bucks

look for local plastic shops

call them

its usually like expensive

but to answer the pieced together question

these snowboarders leave this preseason box up by my mtn

and its pieced together hdpe and there is no problem

the plastic is like wavy in some places but i think its from leaving it in the elements

I'd ask the guys that work on the park crews at ski areas near you if you could buy some of theirs. I would imagine shipping a sheet of that would cost almost as much as the sheet. They would probably make you pay more than what it cost them, but it would probably still end up being cheaper. If they say no, ask them where they get it from. You may find a local wholesaler that way. I found one in Denver by asking the guy that manages the Vail park crew.

me and my friend built a box. we went out to this place where that a bunch of old signs for businesses. we got a wells fargo one that was more than enough for two boxes for like twenty bucks. works perfect. have had the boxes for almost two years and they have held up perfectly. no chipping or anything
