US ski team racer, Cody Marshall, in critical condition

Listen, not a year goes by, not a year, that I don’t hear about some escalator accident involving some bastard kid which could have easily been avoided had some parent – I don’t care which one – but some parent conditioned him to fear and respect that escalator.

i've always feared escalators ever since i was about 10 years old and watched a news story (along with a dramatic reenactment) of a kid whose jacket sleeve got caught in the menacing teeth at the bottom of an escalator and proceeded to mangle his arm, resulting in amputation.

i'd rather take the stairs, personally
 
two years ago in syracuse, this happened, but it was with a girl's hair. Luckily they stopped it before she was entirely scapled. It was horrible tho
