US Halfpipe Ski Team

According to twitter is - jess cumming, david wise, jen hudak, torin wallace, tucker perkins, simon dumont, devin logan, gus kenworthy, brita sigourney.

ya gus!

take these names with a grain of salt...

look at the 2010 "us snowboarding" team vs. the 2010 "us olympic snowboard" team and you'll notice a few things...

very few of those people made the eventual olympic squad

all this gives you is a bunch of free training and what not at the center of excellence and access to some of the training money that is donated to ussa

i'd made a much bigger deal out of those recently amed to the canadian halfpipe team as those guys are actually going to get GOVERNMENT money from own the podium

the us ski team has no national funding, it's all from private parties

even if tanner was healthy and competed last year i HIGHLY doubt he'd want to be part of any official us team until the actual olympic year

although i do suspect dumont, kenworthy and yater-wallace are almost a lock for the us olympic halfpipe team assuming they stay healthy...

the other two spots (a team can have up to 5 guys per event) are the ones you should be discussing

assuming tanner makes a recovery, that leaves 1 spot

None of those guys are a lock...Olympics are 3 years away, and the way this sport has been going, it'll be an entirely new field by then...

i hope Thall makes a comeback for the olympics.. would love to see him out there competing!

That's the first name I thought of. As for the ladies, I just want to see one of them beat Sarah Burke. There, I went ahead and said it. No disrespect/dislike on Sarah, but we need to have USA on that podium, preferrably GOLD! Do it.

im not sure how old tanner already is, but with both ancles, both legs, and both knees being previously broken and being older than the rest of the field i feel like it would be almost impossible to get to the olympics. this could be an ignorant statement though, and i would love more than anything for him to be back on top.

Walter ran into a lot of injury trouble this year. Expect big things from him in the next year though, he's definitely going to come back in a big way.

That's what I was thinking. Devin or Jen ftw!! As for the men, I sure hope Simon stays healthy and on top of his game by 2014!!

i dont know who t hall is but i know who tanner hall. type the rest of the letters douchwaffle. hes getting oldish, knees are not 100%, and he hasnt competeted in a large sized event like the olympics or even something smaller like xgames for a while
