Brethren,

I have a serious predicament here. Im going to Breckenridge for spring break with my buddies from the east coast.

One of our best friends lives up in UT and skis snowbird and all those spots. He is supposed to be driving out to breck to join us. However, he heard from his pro buddy who makes the drive from Salt Lake to breck often in the winter, that some of the mountain passes are closed?

He said the guy gave him a feasible route through wyoming and it added a shit ton of time to the drive.

Anyways now he's pussing out and doesn't think he's gonna come. Our crew won't be complete without him, and he's the only guy with us who's 21 (rest are 20) so that also puts a downer on it.

SO NS: for any of you who live in CO or UT and are familiar with the drive, can you guys PLEASE shed some light on the situation so that we can get my buddy to summit county. Is it true that the straight route from UT to CO is blocked in the winter?

THANKS AND +++++K

We're leaving thursday night so I gotta get this shit nailed down ASAPPPP so that i can convince him.

Major karmas for help

do not listen yo your friend i live in colo and ski breck regularly it has been mostly nice weather and the plows are very good, no major passes will have been closed, but also smaller passes are often closed but if he comes up from utah through grand junction the only pass you go over is vail pass which is parely a pass.

that's what i thought.

he said that he would get to the rockies and the road would be closed do to snow and sketch factor.

I called bullshit on the info he got, i just need to confirm

also best route from slt lake cit, take the the quickest route to 70 east and that will take you on a nice speedy highwy all the way to breck.

+K man thanks

I just checked UDOT and Colorado road info and nothing is closed

I even checked the cameras and they were all clear. He is fine i think.

i would say 7 hours from breck to salt lake but it is a very nice drive and it is a strait shot once you are on I-70
