Urban Towns

I’m applying to colleges right now and I’m tryna move somewhere I can do a lot of urban, any suggestions on cities/ universities would be much appreciated

Lots of schools in Maine, UMF, Colby, Bates, are all in good spots for street skiing

SLC has tons of spots but snow can be inconsistent

corner brook Newfoundland def has world class street skiing, and it snows a ton. There is a small uni there, MUN Grenfell

idk though man basing your school choice on street skiing seems kinda silly to me, there are a lot of things that will matter a lot more in terms of your overall experience

Are these cities not out of spots yet?

id assume duluth is rather played out otherwise minneapolis and it’s surrounding suburbs are packed

Slc has a lot of spots and is also close to a lot of mountains ofc. It’s not as Mormon as people think either, salt lake is like an oasis of booze where everywhere else in utah sucks ass

I’d say Duluth even tho it’s popular. Just solidifies the legendary status of some of those spots.

I was just there and there’s too many spots to not find something new

Agreed lol. Don’t get me wrong, street skiing and skiing in general are sick but I can think of dozens of other factors of the college experience that should probably take priority IMO.

If it’s that important to you, I’d definitely recommend saving yourself some huge money and doing a couple years of online community college then transfer, and for 2 years you’ll have the freedom to ski wherever and whenever you want. That also gives you some time to figure out your long term career goals. Just my 2 cents as someone who was in your shoes not too long ago.

Same with central Maine I drive by stept spots all the time

Yeah, everything except mutiny included hella New England spots. Mutiny was like 75% denver, at least Clayton’s part.

Damn I gotta find these spots now

They’re everywhere. Just drive around business parks and stuff. Their famous spots are mostly Boston tho

Michigan tech lol

Go watch the strike by child labor.

Any rust belt city built on a steep hill aspect is the place for urban

This or Marquette, Northern is the inferior school though. Places looks loaded.

University of Minnesota Duluth . I am currently studying mechanical engineering. Decent program so far (junior status), good group of students, professors are hit or miss.

If you like to ski, Duluth is a great spot. Obviously known for street but the resort skiing is good as well with "realish mountainish" skiing within reach.

More homies the better , scene is growing lately

Imagine choosing a school based on street skiing fucking idiotic. Go to state university save the difference from private school and hit street all winter break wherever you want.
