what if companies put out skis specially made for urban? they could be softer and less quality since you'd be shittying them up anyways, no metal edges since you don't carve on pavement. would that be a decent idea or no?

you could just throw a pair of bindings on two pieces of ply wood....but seriously not a bad idea, haven't heard it before.

It would be good if they designed an urban ski just for trashing, but i doubt it would happen, there isnt a very big market for it really.

heres what you do. go buy one of those shitty snowboards, trace the general shape of your ski on um and cut um out. then mount them up with bindings. but seriously, those plastic boards would break in half on a rail. the street dweller is a REAL board, it just lacks edges and 8 inserts (only has one stance)The best bet is to go on ebay, and buy some old 1080s or 1260s, and detune the shit out of the edges, and walla! your own beater skis.

whatever happened to those pow'airs with the plastic grindplate? i just paid 20 bucks for tuning because i had no sweet spot on my scratch's from sliding rails. my dad is pissed because i go through skis like shit through a camel.
