Urban size question

I plan on building my own box/rail and doing some urban skiing for the first time this summer, so I’m looking for some urban skis. But do I want the same size urban ski that I ride on the mt. during the winter?

Height: 5’ 11

Weight: 180

Current Park ski: Chronic 177

Another question (like I said above, first time): For an urban ski does it matter if its function was orinally for pow vs. park? And does having a wider ski help in urban skiing?

keep it the same size, your practicing for when your at the mountain, so when winter comes you will be just thaat much better

just find somthing cheap cause if you ride alot they will just fall apart and there is no sense in wasting alotta money on skis your gunna beat

There were some 176 ar5's in urban condition for sale on here a little bit ago. Might wanna check there.

Thats my plan, I was just wondering if I got a pair of pow skis in uban condition, they will still be ok in comparission to a pair of park skis in urban condition. Like I can find plently of pow skis for sale in urban condition, but the waits is wider then what I ski for park during the winter.

its def easier but a pow ski might help to pack down the in run help a little in your backyard since that will probably be really soft snow.

Well to be honest I have 0 snow...I live in philly and plan on havin my drop in be off some deck stairs. I read about how ppl use carpet flipped over and some water, so I', gonna try that to lead me up to the box/rail.

to be honest, i never had much luck with the carpet, i would suggest astro turf or something similar if you can find it, if worse comes to work just do step-ons, theyre hard but can be fun
