just got some up's a few days ago, love them so far but anyways earlier today before i went out i was scraping them down to wax them noticing a nice chunk of the base missing between the underfooting, the hit goes down through the base to a metallic like material. My local shop said that i should proally warrenty them but it doesnt seem that serious outside of a simple fix. The local shop is the only one i trust with my skis around here but they wont fix them

one of my friends snapped their urban punx after 4 days of use..so id get them warrantied. and i hear that the base under the boot is really weak.
 
best part it, i wasnt even in the park.... literally skiing down groomers since theres 2 rails at my local mtn :(

They're the new park version. You can have your new prototype if you buy some punx or urban punx then case a gap jump.

well my phone isnt uploading the pics

but why is there a metal base on the punx? ive done similar damage to a pair of last years pe's i picked up cheap for some urban and after the base it was straight core but on these theres like a metal layer, should the ski be fine because i teach at my local hill and refuse to wear bacons teaching kids how to do groomers waiting for my punx to come back ><
