Urban Lighting?

Hey guys whats up,

Need some advice on lighting for some Urban filming at night.

Not looking for anything ridiculous just something that means we can see what we're filming, no high end production level shit, just enough so we can actually see what were hitting and get a half decent shot.

So i'd appreciate it if we kept the price range to a minimum, no generators etc

would appreciate some recommendation on lights which could cover a large area and still be fairly bright.

Thanks! +K for all help!

(Needless to say, this is my first time urban filming at night)

Pick up a couple of NEWEER CN-160s. They go for around $30 on amazon, are battery powered, and absolutely incredible for the price.

how long do they last at full brightness? You need a lot of light for night time urban features and if you have to cut the session short because of batteries that would be a real bitch. never know how long its going take for someone to get a trick and sometimes you cant come back.

generator is the best bet. if there are buildings close to the feature you can see if you can find a outlet outside. have probably 2 extension cords for each light. power bar too if you have limited outlets to use.

lighting the feature its best to have at least two lights on the side you are filming from and one back light as well. 3 point lighting.
