UPS screwing me over

So i sell neon beer signs on ebay that my grandfather gets for free from his buddy at the distributor. For the first time one of my signs was "damaged in transit" on the way to the buyer. I bought $200 worth of insurance and sold the item for $180 (after shipping and handling) ... i have to reimburse the buyer the 180 so that means now i have a broken neon beer sign and 20 bucks ... this sounds like bullshit to me

I must be missing something here....You get paid $180. You then get paid $200 insurance. Total = $380. You reimburse buyer $180. You are left with $200. It seems like you actually came out with $20 more than you had planned on. It sounds like UPS was totally legit. I don't see a problem here.

Okay, I think I did that wrong, my roommates and I talked about it and you are right, I'll come out with 200 from the insurance and just give the guy his 180 back, I didnt take into account the 180 he had given me. Thanks UPS for 20 more than what i got for the item and for the headache i got trying to figure it out.

i always rate the insurance on anything i ship for more than its really worth, cause then when this happens you make some profit.

ups still fucks me over some times

when i ordered my suit on top of the 30 dollars for shipping when i bought it

at my door they charged me $117 dollars in fees for some gay shit

i dont really remember what it was

but i remember like 70 dollars of it was paperwork

im hoping it wont be like that when my camera arrives now

yeah not to mention, theres a good chance they will just say the damage was a resulting of packaging by me and not give me my insurance, they have a reputation for doing that, then i am SOL

not gunna lie, DHL blows ups outta the water...Everything that i have gotten shipped via DHL has always arrived one or two days earlier than the expected arrival date. And its all in once piece =D...which is good.

That is your duty price dumbass, don't get mad at UPS.  they have nothing to do with it, it is your government's tariffs.  If you bought the camera from the US then you will probably have to pay a certain percentage of its value.  Sometimes its up to 50% on electronics.
