Upgrading my trampoline

Don't wet it. All it does is stretch out the bed and it actually makes it less bouncy over time.

You can buy new springs or a new bed. Backyard tramps aren't meant to be very bouncy though. They're literally made so little kids can jump up and down not skiers to do doubles. You might be able to find aftermarket tramp things but if you're trying to have a tramp like you see in gymnastics centers, you're not gonna be able to do it. At least a few years ago I know those products were very hard for the public to get because of the safety factor.

The tighter the bed the better and the more elastic the springs the better.

When you cross the springs it stretches them to give them more bounce. It's weird to explain.

Another thing I forgot to mention. You should take off your bed and springs during the winter or shovel off your tramp after it snows. It helps to keep the bed tighter

Not true. Wetting a trampoline causes the threads in the bed to become tighter which make it bouncier.

it depends, if it's new, take a few springs out. if it's old, cross the springs. (from |||| to XX)

i have a 12 footer and it's bouncy af. I've had it for like 10 years and it's still super bouncy. just get new springs.

I'm almost positive it wears it out a lot faster over time if you do it more often than not though

cross your springs, spray it with the hose, get somebody who knows what they are doing to double bounce you... You will easily get uncomfortably high just by doing those things... If your tramp is shitty don't worry about wearing it out by using it... You should take it down in the winter though all that can do is stretch the springs/warp the frame which makes it bad

My tramp was already beast (10'x5' rectangle) but on day when I was young my mum brought home a box full of extra tramp spring from who knows where (probs a garage sales or something). I then doubled up the springs on my tramp and experimented.

There's a few different ways to do it depending on how many additional spring you manage to get your hands on.

Standard # of Springs- |||||||||||||||||||

Additional Springs- |/|/|/|/|/|/|/|/|/|/ (ish)

or

\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ (good)

or

/|\/|\/|\/|\/|\/|\/|\/(better)

or

/|\|/|\|/|\|/|\|/|\|/ (best)

If you can, get some extra springs. you want ones that are the same length as yours or shorter (shorter is better), you will just have to work extra hard to get them hooked on! Just make sure what ever spring pattern you do is even all the way around!

Keep it tight,

wetting does not always make the tramp bouncier, my friend has a 12 by 12 rectangle and it is not bouncy wet, also its not bouncy anymore from half the springs breaking from having 3 people double bounce, so dont go overboard on the double bouncing kids
