Update on my music (hip hop, EDM, flying lotus)

It's been a while since I last posted a track on NS. I've been busy living the starving artist's life, bumming it on couches and working 2 jobs. Pretty happy about it all though...

I've gotten to work with some amazing artists. I also formed a band, which is called Eyelight. We had our first studio recording session in Vancouver, BC three weeks ago. Our first two tracks should come out at the end of the summer, at which point we will be setting up for a tour of the Pacific Northwest, opening for Flying Lotus in two locations. Don't know when that will all be, probably early next year.

I also am in the process of making some EDM collabs, my man Ornikel and I are working together on a track that will be going on beatport, possibly iTunes and Spotify as well depending on how far we want to take it...but I can say with confidence that it is up to quality with the studio productions nowadays and it will rape minds.

Without further ado, here are my most recent tracks.

Rock This (feat. Tre-P)...definitely the most hood track I've ever done, lol. Tre kills it with some dope bars, there's one real funny one in there too that just catches you off guard...

Free your Mind (prod. Grei Records)...a new producer in the game, but still awesome nevertheless. bringing it back to the 90s again with this one, straight up head noddy samples.

Cypher for the Underground (collab with Temp)...this one is special to me, Temp is cosigned by Brother Ali and if he really put the effort in (just put out his first release last month) he will go far.

There are more new songs on my soundcloud, including a song produced by Yeshintae, out of Warren G's CA Sound studios.

Hope you guys enjoy.

Are you by any chance coming to Seattle on your tour? Flying Lotus would be insane live and to see a newschooler opening for him would be sick!

I honestly can say that I can count the number of rappers that I enjoy listening to, so I'm typically not a big fan of the genre. But man, these were very sick. I thoroughly enjoyed every song you posted. Keep it up!

This is a huge compliment, thank you man!

@ElGrato: Much appreciated, my buddy in school for graphic design (not sure which trade specifically) did the typeface for "Free Your Mind" and he's in the process of making song art for my EDM song coming out in a week or so.

@Katie: Good to know the songs can get some female love too. I don't want a bunch of hipster dudes as the only demographic that buys my music, bwahaha.

to anyone who doesn't know who Opio is...get edumacated
