I recently saw Aspen Spora's season edit and i was pretty blown away. But i think everyone needs to know that their is another little ripper coming out of mont-tremblant, QC that is equally as good if not better than Aspen. Not hatin on him, the kid can fucken rip, i'm just trying to help a little homie out!

I feel shitty enough as it is. There's been two recent edits of really good young kids. I can't put myself through this emotional harm any more. I'm not watching that, but I think this may be the last time you guys hear from me. Goodbye forever.

am i the only one who gets annoyed with the 7+minute edits that aspen puts out. i quit watching after a few minutes just because i got bored. i understand he rips and that he's young but that doesnt automatically make it fun to watch...

that being said that kid also ripped, i have to say in general though i dont like watching kids like this ski. i dont know what it is really, something about their size and the way that equates to their skiing style that i just doesnt work for me

There are lots of little rippers. We need to support them all as a community because they're the future of our sport. This kid rips for sure. I get to spend a lot of time skiing with Aspen and the control of his skis he has in insane for his age. On the whole mountain, not just the park.

love seeing young gunz with so much talent! hope to see even more kids come up with banger tricks to compare in comps... BUT there should never be a comparison of style. Aspen has already developed his own style, he has been able to do the tricks for years now! he couldnt even clear big jumps and he could do the tricks... eventually he will turn tricks out that havent been done which is the true test of freestyle. as far as aspen edits!... we are all watching home videos of a kid growing up, made with love by his mom. sure they are edits, and his ability trumps most dudes who think they are pro, but hes just doing his thing, and i personally love watching the antics.

i saw him in the park once and i felt like i was 9. it's just ridiculous when you do a super sick trick and then he comes up and swings a double like it's the first thing he does when he wakes up. that being said, i would be really interested in a game of skate between him and aspen

Don't compare the two. That's no way to support either of them. We should all be equally stoked for each of them for tearing it up. I think OP has the wrong idea of what the free skiing community is actually about. Yea there's competition, but in the end why do all the pros ski? Because they fucking eat, breathe and drink the sport. They love it and they're motivation to continue with a sport that pays the majority of pros very little money is inspring to all of us to keep going and progress the sport since us younger people ARE the future of free skiing. No need to bash Aspen or this new kid.

Phil has progressed so much from last year I remember seeing him every once in a while landing cork 7s and this year he's landed cork 12s, dubs etc. his progression level is insane and not to mention its only his fourth year in freestyle skiing.

that kid kills it. One concern I do have with the little rippers his how much force is going around with flips without the strength to with-stand it. There were a few landing where it looked like it had some potential to blow his knee.

But so much air skills well done to the kids.

Can we please start a fund to get Aspen and Phil together in a game of skate? I think that would be sick, bring out the two young rippers and see who can do the most. Or lets just see a video where they're out throwing down together like the Tanner Hall and Sander Hadley video. That would be sweet.
