Unsymmetrical skis

i currently have 166 afterbangs and am debating on buying a pair of 9 HHp's, just wondering if the fact that the hhps aren't symmetrical will make it harder to ski switch

possibly....do u have the deminsions of the ski?... if there close to semitrical u can mount center and they will ski swittch like a semitrycal ski would

ive got AR7s and unless you're skiing switch a ton and carving switch you probably wont have any problems

i've also wondered this. i have been skiing anthems for around 4 years and im gonna need new skis soon. unfortunately symmetrical skis aren't as common and anthems are discontinued. i feel like it won't be a huge deal though.

Given the same flex, turn radius, etc, its very hard to tell the difference between a symmetrical geometry and a near symmetrical geometry when skiing.

I don't see a huge difference between the two, especially when the non symmetrical ski dimensions are close and the ski itself is center mounted....I've rode Anthems (symmetrical) before and i personally ride El Reys as my everyday ski (non- symmetrical). The Anthems seem to carve and maneuver a tiny bit easier when riding switch, but its a very subtle difference. As far as spinning goes, i didn't really notice and difference at all. But talk to Flashkick101 or something, he has all the answers..

i wondered that a lot too when i moved away from symmetrical skis for the first time. if its a new park ski, then mount it center and it'll feel just fine, no better or worse in my opinion

I went from 178 invaders to 176 hhp's. I did not notice any difference in skiing switch, if anything it is better because imo HHP's are a much better ski, i love mine.

if u get an un semitrycal ski and its close to semitrycal then i would say to mount it center and u should notice 0 difference between the semitrycal ski and the un semitrycal ski when center mounted.

You will like the new skis way more IMO not because they aren't symmetrical but it is just a better ski.
