Anyone go to carleton or ottawa. Could you give me some pluses and downs for the universities. I want to g oto one of them.

im gonna be a little bias and say go to carleton, that is where i go

first some of the things you sohuld know

carleton has a far nicer campus than ottawa, and the building are a lot nicer looking, carleton is a little more lively i think, it is also a pretty decent party school, more so than ottawa ,

umm, im in engineering at carleton, its pretty good i guess, i hear carletons engineering is better than ottawas, i think its pretty good here, i dont' know much about the business, but i would have to say if carleton offers your program you wanna take, go to carleton.

I would have to disagree with you on Carleton's campus looking nice. It's one of the ugliest campus's I've been to. Very utilitarian. But that's what you get when a lot of the buildings were built in the 50's and 60's.

compared to mcgil ya carleton is a lot uglier id say, but i mean ottawa u? that campus is a lot uglier than carletons in my opinion.

i go to carleton, and love the campus. in my opinion, it's one of the nicest campuses in ontario. lots of green space, plenty of chillin spots on both the rideau canal and river, and goddamn.. everywhere you turn there are sexy ladies.

carleton is chalk full of different and interesting people that are looking to party. ottawa u is full of jocks and clique-y snobs that think they are better than everybody. enough said.

 
tremblant 2.5 hours away is a sweeeeeet deal too. Anyoen white water kayak at carleton, do they have a club for it?

Yeah of course, I just didn't like the school so I transferred schools. I like my new school much more, smaller classes and the undergrad teaching staff is much better.

do you have to be have been there longer than first year to get some of the leeds or prescott suites?

i dont go 2 university yet, but i know that carleton doesnt have a ww kayak club... but the champlain bridge rapids are like 5 minutes away, and theres a few clubs in the area, but none organised by the schools

Im at Waterloo - best sci/eng school in Canada - in Biotechnology and Economics, the school offers many different sci/bus mixes, though the cut off for my program was mid 90's. If you have the marks come here!

Ottawa U over Carleton, Ottawa U is right downtown so ur close to everything. Also Ottawa has some all new buildings like a bio and engineering building. and Ottawa U's enginneering program is better then carleton's, we have our own Wind tunnel at Ottawa U. The people from carleton kept calling my house, like a week before school started asking if i've gotten their acceptence, even thou i accepted ottawa's offer months ago, they just don't know what they are doing at Carleton.... oh and nice grassy landscaping??? no sorry, it's bad, u want a nice grassy place western is a beautiful campus.

but carleton does seem to be more of a party school, less security and stuff like that around there and therefore parties go one more. not that much more thou, and if u go to ottawa U, u can walk 5 minutes to get to a bar and just get ripped there.

 
ottawa u is in a really sketchy part of town! my two buddies got mugged one night by four guys when they were walkin some ladies home! carleton is definately more of a party school; aa few years ago we were on david letterman's list of top 10 party schools in north america. i believe we were #3! the campus is definately nice! when it's warm out you can actually sit under a tree and do some reading! ottawa u's campus is all concrete and ugly buildings too!

ottawa U in a sketchy neighbourhood?? hahaahahaa, that is by far the funniest thing i have ever heard!!!! Ottawa is the safest town ever....unless your a complete idiot.
