University of Toronto Colleges

So I'm applying to the U of T and on the app I have to rank prefrences for the 7 Arts & Science Colleges (Victoria, New, University, Innis, etc.)

Anyone who goes there care to help me out in choosing an order?

I've heard the college you're in only really effects where you live...and also that if you dont get into your 1st choice college you probably won't get into the university. Is this true?
 
dude......are you applying to college or university. Im confused as hell. You apply to a certain university course, not campus. There is only one U of T, and its in toronto, you will have to move there if you want to go there.
 
yeah, but different courses are on different campuses. the scarborough campus and the mississauga campuses have differents courses available. certain programs will you require you to be at a different campus. id go for the st george campus over the other two.
 
Yeah...but what i don't understand what hes asking. Like if he has the course book, he schould have all the info right there. The UofT website is also very helpfull.
 
No not the academic courses...I know I want to be at St. George

You have to rank them 1-7 when you appply

There is Innis, New, University, Victoria, Trinity, St. Michaels and one other I can't remember.

I've never been to the University and dont have any info except what they give on the website which still doesnt seem to provide me much information.

Mostly I just wanted to know if it is true that if you don't get into the first college you choose do you not get into the entire university (U of T)
