United Airlines is the worst

United is by far the worst airline in north america, and considering it is a member of star alliance and one of the United States biggest airlines I would expect them to be ahead of the curve.
They are not, they are the shittiest airline ever./rant

Worst i've ever had involved America West, which i'm guessing is related to American in some way. The experience was just overall terrible. Delayed flight for 12 hours, when we got on the plane we had to wait for the pilot for like 45 minutes, then wait in line for another hour, then get defrosted, then wait in line some more, then they lost my luggage.

I would say the worst is united.

delayed flight

almost left at an airport overnight as an unaccompanied minor

lost my bags

negative leg room

no free snacks

the list goes on

United does suck and people who travel a lot know this. I've been using Southwest almost exclusively for a few years now (sometimes I need to go someplace they don't fly to) and the experience with them has been very rewarding. Best of all is that they allow you to check 2 bags for free. I think United wants 25-50 for the first and 50-75 for the 2nd. Fuck that noise.

i just flew with them earlier this summer... it went fine

you got some kind of story to tell to back this up...?

United is the only airline company that has never filed for bankruptcy. They are (or are close) to the oldest airline in the country and offered the first ever transcontinental flights.

now, things have changed dramatically over the course of airline history, and not for the better if you ask me. does anybody remember when you could get meals on in-country flights? they were actually quit good if you ask me, haha

also, one of the previous CEO's of United (in not sure which one) said he would never invest in an airline company because of the instability and cost of running that business.

fuck the whole industry. coming from the son of an airline captain with 26 years flying experience. i will NEVER get close to working in that industry.

when people ask me if im gonna be a pilot like my dad my answer is "fuck no, im gonna avoid that industry like the plague"

there is one thing and one thing that matters in the airlines, the date stamped on your ID. NOTHING else matters.

American lost all my bags when I arrived in portland for windells, so I had to demo skis and borrow clothing the first day on the hill. the skis were 181, and I ride 177s, tip dug in on a liu kang, and I tore my acl. thanks American, you fuckers tore my acl

shoulda made them pay for rentals....make the airlines personal hell (AKA you at the ticket counter) come true.

seriously, for every competent gate agent or ticket agent there are 5 complete idiots on power trips. they think they own the world. i love putting them in their place.

/bitter rant

hahah....good joke.

want good leg room? go to NZ and fly on air new zealand. i had a rather enjoyable 12 hour flight from nz to LA last week. from LA to boston? sucked. didn't sleep a minute. my legs were cramped the whole time. not to mention no snackssss

On my flight from Denver to Boezman they oversold. There were 24 seats on the plane. They sold 40 tickets. Nice fucking move.

fuck united. I had a pair of skis left on a plane to fucking LA when i was going to SLC, they overbooked my last flight to denver, no leg room (and i'm 5'3 so i feel for anyone bigger than me on that plane), waited for my bag for 2 hours in DIA, (that i paid WAY to much for) and more importantly, every flight i've taken with united i end up next to fat people who snort a lot...coincidence?...probably...annoying? definitely

just so everyone knows the airlines WILL oversell EVERY flight if they can. they calculate a certain percentage of passengers will not show up.

if everyone shows up then they either switch to larger aircraft (which is hard to do) or they give people incentives to take a later flight.

american airlines is by far much worse than united. they left us sitting on the plane for an hour then deplaned us and told us mechanics were on the way. 6 hours later they told us the mechanics still weren't there and to make alternate arrangements. They didn't offer us any other options just told us to make arrangements. I sprinted to the ticket counter and barely caught a stand by before the mob came then caught the last stand by out of my connection. total bullshit. AA has the shittiest planes too.

Almost every flight I fly is on United and they have been great. I fly out to CO from Baltimore and it always goes without a hitch. I like the late night flights when the planes are less packed.

Also icelantic is also shit. On a seven hour flight from Reykjavik to Seattle, the drink cart came twice, no free snacks, almost no leg room and subpar service otherwise.

i flew with air transat from montreal to france and that was probably the worst flight i'd ever been on. the food was shit, as per usual, but to boot, there was no leg room and i'm 5'1". i feel bad for anyone taller than me who had to fly that shit box.

United is the worst. When i was flying back to school last year they lost my baggage, and then I was goin got get a free ride with my friends who I randomly bumped into in the airport, but I had to wait at the airport and fill out paperwork. So I ended up taking a $50 cab instead. Needless to say United blows.

Virgin Atlantic is the tits. On a fairly short flight from London to Boston, the drink cart came every hour or so, 2 meals, tons of leg room, and good shit on the entertainment system.

Virgin America is the shit!

If you ever get a chance to fly with them, fucking do it!

They are twice as good as jetblue, and jetblue has tv, imagine what Virgin America has?! (PS3's? NO, but close)

delta told me they overbooked and i had to sit for 2 hours before boarding waiting and afterwards i boarded normally telling me that they made a mistake.

air canada has the stupidest stuff.once a gay guy that worked for them started reading playboy and just looking at the pics.it was wierd

lufthansa is by far the best.except they usually have older planes so i have to struggle to see a tv behind someones head

The air line doesnt break guitars, the apes who throw the shit into the plane break it, and it happens with every airline company. If you bring a guitar on a plane, bring it as a carry on.

Ive had nothing but good stuff from United, and ive flown with them quite a few times

United and Continental are merging..........aka the biggest airline in the world. Although I've had bad experiences with United not Continental, hopefully the new air line will me more continental then united. My dad is a captain for Continental hopefully they will do well!

I'm not going to lie, I love Delta. I always fly first class with them and I get the most amazing treatment. Also SouthWest is one of the best for customer service.

haha, I have had 4 flights with United that were apparently "over booked" and even though we booked the tickets 4 months in advance, we still couldn't get on the plane. 4 times. worst airline ever.
