Underground racing dusts AMS GTR to become king of the street again

2 separate lambos dust AMS's monster to prove that they have the fastest street car ( and by street car I mean reliable and can handle the power not some 7 second muscle car with a classic plate on it)

/images/flash_video_placeholder.png

Id take any of them but an UGR Lambo all day over the GT-Rs

I'd still rather have the 7 second muscle car with classic plates. At least I'd know that everyone I meet doesn't think I'm some small dick pretentious douche bag.

ahh yes stereotypes at their finest
I'd rather put power to the ground and have my ass wrapped in italian leather but hey thats just me

it should be noted that:

UGR Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4: $237k base price plus $109k+ for race system (what these cars are running), for a grand total of roughly $346k. Race fuel VP-C16 (117 octane), Low boost @ 13 PSI, Toyo R888 tires.

AMS GT-R Alpha 12 (Omega): $100k base price + $95k for Alpha 12 package (based on talking with people who own one of the few built), for a grand total of roughly $200k. Pump gas (93 octane), Stock tires.

$346k =/= $200k. Race fuel =/= pump gas. Just defendin' my GTR's, cuz you can't just throw 2 cars together and say one smokes the other when one has obvious advantages over the other that don't come as a part of the paid package.

but i have to say those lamborghinis are gorgeous and i would drive any of these cars in a heartbeat.

wrong and more wrong- thats AMS's actual drag car, so slicks and the works, and it is running c16- if you thing a 3.8 is gonna make 1500 wheel on 93 you are insane
and the omega package runs $125 grand, combined with the transmission in that car is another 15 grand
at this level price doesn't matter, its about who is the fastest and being able to actually use it- Bigger motor=less lag and faster car
in the end its run what ya brung- no excuses- are there faster cars out there, hell yes, but fr a car that you can literally drive all day with no worries and have mind bending power the UGRs cant be beat

a12 package comes with a trans, you don't have to pay extra. that would be idiotic to sell it without a built trans.

do some research, you'll see that the gt-r was running pump gas. ams calibrates the maps for them so they can switch between running on pump premium or race fuel. also if you knew what you were talking about, you would know the a12 comes with a balanced and blueprinted 4.0 race engine, not a stock 3.8.

and idk what the fuck you're saying about "but for a car that you can literally drive all day with no worries..". people don't dd lamborghini's, they have bmw 7 series or mercedes-benz c class for that.

meh, to each his own i suppose. personally, i like a car that turns...i'm not sure where you get the small dick pretentious douche bag part though. just because they're expensive as fuck? if i had the money, i'd buy one for sure. so i guess if that makes me a pretentious douche bag then i'm a pdb, but i'm a douche bag with a phat fuckin ride.

but since we're dreaming here, how about both? if i can afford a 350k raced out car, i can probably afford a muscle car too.

double post because no multi quote...

for real...i'd bet you can't drive these all day with no worries. not when you've got those kind of miods to an engine. shit goes wrong...stuff breaks when you're pushing that kind of power. but i get what he's saying about streetable vehicles.

god, i'd kill baby jesus for any of the cars in the vid though. those things are fucking sexy. that boost on that lambo motor...ohhhh, ohhhhh, ahhhhh....need to change my boxers.

i wonder what each car has had done to it? as in what the packages that someone was talking about earlier include? what the fuck does 109k or whatever get me?

I fele like lambos are the go-to supercar for people who can acctually afford them. For people who just want a fast supercar i mean, and don't really know that much about cars in the first place.

yet again wrong

the package comes with garret 20g's on 2000cc injectors- that isnt enough fuel to support that power, as well as there is no flow in those turbos for 1570awhp on 93, secondly if you actually look it up they are running c16

a built 350 with twin 20gs and 30 psi only runs 870 hp on 93, so even if AMS was maxing out those turbos at 40ish psi they might have around 1000 on 93, 1600 on 93 requires a twin setup of gt42r's or bigger, good luck getting those to spool

there are UGR owners that put a few thousand miles on there car, same with AMS owners, Id consider that driveable

i think you're the official car douche of NS now.

i wish i could find that thread where you say that automatic transmissions are the best. that was funny.

they are, they can shift faster than you can think, hold ungodly amount of power, and leave you up to the important part, actually driving the car

also all 3 cars in this video were autos, every single race car out there is or is switching to them, and like it or not it is the future of hauling ass

you try driving around with 1200ft/lbs of tq, you're talking a monster twin disk that behaves like a pig

this, for most cars its not even relevant but when you get into monster hp cars or supercars your buying them for speed, whereas something slower but still fast say an m3 would'nt be worth it

every car Ive owned has been a manual, just saying that autos are better from a technical and speed standpoint

It's not fun to get blown away by the dude with the automatic...

I guess it's preference, but in my opinion, faster = more fun.

you're just a moron.

467674.jpeg

also that thing about manual and auto transmissions - yes the gallardo's are running an e-gear auto, but they do have a manual o/d function.

dub post but yes that is considered "driveable" but one of the points of the AMS package is that it can be used as a daily driver even with 1500whp. no one fucking daily drives a 1500whp lamborghini gallardo, let alone a lamborghini in general.

twice as much money almost twice as many cylinders... I mean what do you expect??

I have seen an ams car do an 8.2 1/4 mile. Havent seen underground do that, nor have I seen undergound do anything but go in a straight line.......

btw fuck lambos.

I dont know the lambo's have never really appealed that much to me. I prefer the 2012 shelby GT500 with SVT performance package over any other car. They sound amazing and have so much torque.

you dont need to twin a GTR to get it to 1600hp, you can drive up to my buddies shop and check one out right now if you want :P

c-16 cooooll.... shitty fucking gas for $1827371923 a gallon. If they were smart they would run q-16 or e-98.

take this package, take the gay twin 20gs off of it but I big fucker on there stroke that motor with some high comp pistons for high rpms and this thing will crush that lambo.

still the cost of this package and car doesnt compare to the total cost of that lambo and its setup.

Im also gonna go with Underground had a little bottle hidden some where, they way it took off half way through the race just aint right....... think about it!

We took a a tight hair pin corner at 80 once with the traction control and it never broke lose at all. As far as the asian comment I don't have any idea of what you talking about.

robert himler put 4000 miles on his UGR lambo last year, id consider that daily driven
and for the love of god you still havent explained to me how 1600whp is attainable on 93

the race didnt start till the halfway point thats why- its a roll race- and AMS runs low 8s yes but the UGR runs a high 8 but traps 180+mph- there running the same 60ft time as a stock 350z
and as you know since you drag race , trap speed tells horsepower which the UGR lambos trap higher, and they also arent driven by a professional driver like the AMS car was

robert himler is also a loser. my evo will also take his car probably mostly because he lacks driving skills.

a rolllll race like wtf is the point of that. start from a dig, thats straight line racing. you wanna do any other racing go to the turns.

AMS may have a "professional" driver but I guarantee UGR does also. he may not have a "pro" license or whatever comes with being a "pro" driver but I guarantee he is on the same level.

I just want to point this out again. 10 cylinders vs 6 cylinders. Money vs money. More money in a 10 vs less money in a 6. I mean whos gonna win??

Maybe I should pull out my 10 liter big block with a blower thats bigger than a civic out... Wonder who would win that race?

haha I never said he was a good guy- just that he drives his car a shit-ton

which if I had that kind of cash so would I

speaking of projects
IMG_7231A.jpg

b5 s4 single turbo- little brother put his deposit down to be one of the first few with 034's kit- rather than fabricating everything its going to be the first "kit" sold- and it costs around the same as going tial 605's however its a PT6262

plus he'll be stationed in Japan for the next 8 months so I get hella cheap jdm partz yo

on a side not I have a few reasons for not liking this kid. sure he has a badass car and make cool videos but he is a joke. tries to claim he pays for everything he buys and all this shit. he is starting an internet company which yes can make you money no doubt but really his dad owns a huge used car dealership and $400 dollar of every car sold goes right into roberts bank account. selling 20 cars a month which im guessing is on the low side is 8 grand a month... that can pay off your credit card when you have a lambo payment to make and payments to make on your parts.

we were also friends and as soon has he got "internet famous" he turned into a huge douche bag not that he wasnt somewhat of one to start with.

btw his mom is a FUCKING MILF.

look at the picture big guy. ams turbo sytem (stock casing + garret internals), BnB Alpha 4.0L Race Engine, CNC Race Ported Cylinder Heads, Alpha 12 transmission by Sheptras with Dodson and PPG components, Alpha dp, 90mm resonated mid-pipe, fmic upgrade, 90mm race exhaust, 76mm high-flow ic piping, tial qr bov's, ams alpha induction intake piping, k&n air firlters, ams turbo inlet pipes, upgraded MAP sensors, ams spec fuel injectors, alpha fuel rail kit w/fuel pressure regulator, alpha series fuel system upgrade, Cobb AccessPORT, ams calibration maps for premium and race fuel. and its 1500whp, for the record.

that should be interesting. I have heard of these cars having problems with a single turbo setup but who knows that was a while ago.

I want to sell my b7 and get another b5. this b7 s4 sucks fucking dick dude. its a cool car, looks nice has an awesome interior but is just a fuckin boat. 5000lbs 350hp..... FUCKIN BOAT.

more cylinders yes but only a little more displacement, and a shitload less boost(13-15lbs compared to 35+ lbs)- AMS driver is an actual professional drag racer as in he makes his living driving AMS cars. both of the UGRs were driven by customers, granted they obviously know what they are doing- and comparatively speaking the difference in prices between the GTR and UGR isnt as extreme and when your spending that kind of cash all that matter in the end is who is the fastest street acceleration- which this is showing
everyone knows the AMS would smoke the lambos in the 1/4-they have a built transmission with gear ratios designed for the 1/4- thats why they only ran 233 in the mile however the lambos run 250+
however the lambos accelerate faster once they get going- which is the whole reason of this video- to prove that they are faster cars once they are moving- not everyone launches their car on the street and thinks the 1/4 is king
both cars are insanely fast, both destroy- one is built for the 1/4- the other the mile

also i wouldn't consider that daily driven, since the statistic is around 12k per year for a daily driven car.

on race fuel so you answered my question with my answer

the highest 93 octane car i have ever seen is the veyron supersport- and that does it with a motor twice the size and 4 turbos of similar size

there are no cars out there making 1500whp on 93- even drag motors because they run such high compression they would never run on 93

agreed but you cant call that the king of the street.

the street for the most part consist of nothing more than driving a quarter mile or a little more.

I mean even on the turnpike do you reallllly get the opportunity to go 200 mph? and well hell if you do, you are an idiot.

That lambo is a stock motor not stoked or anything at all? I mean something is different, largely different if one car is running 15psi and the other is running 35psi.

this car does, because they map it for pump gas. also AMS doesn't run their turbos at 35+ psi like you said a few posts ago. they run them at 23psi. alpha 9 package ran 820whp on pump gas at 23psi, and that's: AMS 90mm Cat-less Downpipes (catalytic converters available)

AMS 90mm Resonated Mid-pipe (race version available)

AMS HKS Legamax Exhaust System (Akrapovic or other AMS spec also available)

AMS Alpha 9 Billet Wheel Upgraded Turbochargers

AMS Spec Wastegate Actuators

AMS Front Mount Intercooler Upgrade

AMS Induction Kit with Tial QR Blow-off Valves

AMS Spec Upgraded Fuel Injectors

AMS Fuel System Upgrade

Cobb AccessPORT Tuning System

AMS Calibration Map(s) (Alpha 3.8L Race Engine required for race gas map)

Andre, just stop. All you're doing is just Googling specs, you don't actually have a clue what you're talking about.
