Underfoot size

Yo what’s good boys. I’m buying my first pair of magnus’s and I’ve heard super mixed shit about what underfoot size I should get. I ski park mostly on the east coast, upstate NY. 90s would be better for carving but should I sacrifice the utility of the 102s? I just want to make sure I buy one that best fits my location.

Just remember that there is a direct correlation between how wide your skis are and how cool you are.

90 will be better in and out of the park. On the east coast, you will have a lot more bullet proof ice days than powder days. The 90 is more of a pure park ski, designed for a true center mount.

When did you get 102s??

Shoulda been more specific, I don't have Magnus's I have Jmos so technically they're 101s. Hopefully I'm not missing out on being a little short tho

lack of edges will probably negate any usefullness the 90s has.

This is a very good point to consider, the detune is very aggressive which is great for the park but not great to hold an edge on solid snow. I had the 102's and loved them in the park and on slushy or soft days but if it is hard out it becomes a chore.

Even tough 90 will be a more easy park ski to start on, the 102 will be more fun to roll around the mountain and still get some nice park laps. It depends on what you really expect the ski to perform. I dont think you need a very slim ski to perform in the park.

most of the ski brands are putting a lil more underfoot in they're park skis as a direction on what the skis are evolving.
