Un-sticking rails.

i searchbarred and found a few topics, but none really helped.

the past few days the rails at my mountain have been sticky as fuck. the boxes are fine for the most part, but all of the metal rails are just super sticky and hard to slide.

what can i do to make them slide better? rub snow on them? wax? water? like three days ago they were fast as fuck.

i know they get sticky in warm weather sometime, but lately its been between 0-10 degrees. i think it got up to like 23 today. (this is all Fahrenheit)

wax your skis, check your edges for crazy burrs or anything. Usually if its cold out the rails dont stick so not sure what else to say

If it's due to burring, they need to be filed and sanded. If it's a surface problem, you need to reduce the friction by waxing/ polishing/ putting some water or snow on.
