Un-rockering skis

I search barred and didnt find anything so unless you link a page stfu. So everyone wants to know how to make their old skis look like a banana. However i have some old bents that i bought in a 179 thinking it would be alright. Turns out there's not enough underfoot and i hate skiing them unless its over 9 inches. I was thinking about putting some concrete blocks on top of the first rocker sections. Good idea? Has anyone done this before?

Do the opposite of rockering skis. Secure the ends and put a block in the middle to bend them into a camber shape. Use a heat gun and bend them, then let them set. Keep doing that until they are cambered

Thats kinda what i want rocker is really only needed when riding switch i personally like sinking in. but they would still have some rocker. What im worried about is fucking up the core to where its super floppy and just rattles around (more than before)

this is probably not a good idea. but if your guna do it get a clamp and some real stuff so that its not all approximate. still not what i would suggest.

Somebody has said their bents got a lot more rocker just from going fast while they're on a ski rack. If you manage to "un-rocker" them, skiing them will make them rockered again.

THat happens with tons of K2 skis especially with the cheap cores(like the hellbents have), you're fucked if you want them to have less rocker. I found 179s easy to ski on hardpack, and I'm not small. I just had to ski them in an neutral stance a lot of the time.

it will do this... plus there is no way for you to really give the exact amount to each ski, nor will is last in that shape. this will not turn out in your favor. just sell/trade them and get what you need.

sell the bents, get a job. combine the money to get the 115.

It does sound like a solid ski.

just be patient bud, and then you'll be able to get your skis.

Unrockering them is a bad idea.

yeah i dont really want to buy a pow ski at the moment considering i have some brigades that work fine even with a lot of edge gone. Hellbents seemed liked they would be really fun if i gave it more of a camber profile probably would of been the softest ski of all time. In the back of my mind im still considering putting a bit of weight on an inch or two of rocker. Oh well i will probably end up getting some atomic patents. The whole fat skis is getting kind of old.

i swear i have read this thread before, like two years ago. it was some nz or aus guy that was trolling and it got to 4 or 5 pages or something

I dont know what didnt process when i read his previous statement.

But your right.

I find anythingn over 120 a bit over done.

Technology and skis have changed alot since i last rode a fat ski. being the Thug at 120, super soft. its great till I snapped them.

I don't like anything over 115.

I have One lifes(112mm), Which are pretty opposite land compared to the bents. Stiff and Bent. But the waist is perfect, don't see the point for a fat ski.

I want to hear how those prophet 115's are. someone mentioned they skied them.

I can imagine a stiffer, stronger Pandora. It looks like the same model
