You wont get probabtion. a UPM is only a violation in NY, and you can get 3 within a certain period of time before they become anything more serious (ie a misdemeanor) Most of the people who are answering your questions probably arent from NY, therefore dont know what they are talking about, and every states marijuana laws are different. In NY it is decriminalized, so you probably wont get probation since thats a pretty serious punishment for something thats more or less equivalent to a speeding ticket.
What will happen is the original charges will be brought back, and you will be charged with the 2nd one as well. You will have to pay a fine, as well as a court surcharge (of course) when I got a UPM up north in Plattsburgh I paid 150 dollars and that was the end of it. My friend just got a UPM and paid 225. Chances are they will give you a higher fine since you have two, but I boubt you will have to pay anything over 300 per incident. Sorry tohear about that bro.
You might get lucky though and if you get a lawyer (even a public defender) you can probably get it reduced. I recently got a 2nd upm and possession of a controlled substance (adderall), which is a misdemeanor and both charges were reduced to one count of public disobedience, and I have to pay 275 bones, but I feel like I got lucky. So yeah, good luck in court hahaha
