I don't know if it was mentioned, but the Ullr contest wasn't just for unknown girls. There's the unknown girls and the pros. The reason for this is because the pros were invited already and the unknown girls that won the online thing, gets to compete along the best of the best. Think of it as a poorly explained and loosly ran open event. Everyone can enter, but only a few would move on to compete for cash and inevitable exposure among already invited pros.
 
On top of that...chicks get the chance at 25,000$. Despite the miss america voting part of the contest, at least it's a reasonable attempt and giving more recognitions to women and not only pros, but anyone. Also, it's not only a park event it's got a big mountain aspect to the contest as well.
 
I wish the girls had something like the equivalent of L1P's superunknown though, I mean, Ullr didn't really give any young competitors too much of a chance with demi-gods like Sarah Burke being able to compete...
