Like that one guy said, they were made in Australia for the beach. Not to go tidepooling in but to put on after surfing (thats why they arent waterproof).
I am a California girl and I wear them all the time after I surf. The average water temp is 52. Put your feet in that for 2 or 3 hours, add wind chill and those Uggs are looking mighty fine right now. Throw them on, wrap a towel around your waist and put on a sweatshirt... while you do look homeless, you're ultra-warm.
A girl in a skirt with uggs is akin to staring into the face of death.
A girl with pants tucked into Uggs is only slightly better.
Uggs under the jeans aren't a fashion statement. If someone was going to show off their Uggs they wouldnt hide them.
