UCSD ski team?

anyone on it or gots any info on it? i'm going to ucsd next year... it says in their "activities brochure" that it is competetive in slopestyle and half-pipe... is that a bunch of BS?
 
i think they are in the same league as us (USC) and we compete in halfpipe/slopestyle/skier x/boarder x/gs/slalom events at least 6 times or so a year, and people can go to nationals as well

i dont think they are bullshitting about the events but i think ucsd was a little bit lazier about competing then sdsu was
 
ya they had a team but you have to be motivated to go to mammoth. i was on cal poly's team and almost no one from pomona ever went except the president laura.
 
ussally i would end up just skiing june with friends because i had a pass there and it is more fun to freeride then to wait around all day to compete. but when i did compete it was fun
 
gotcha... i as kinda hoping they'd be pretty active, but i figured it'd be hard to drive 12 hours every weekend to go to mammoth...
 
Im going to UCSD next year too i havent looked into competing at all but im definitely looking to go to bear on the weekends
