TYW 2nd quali run vs. Elizabeth Swaney's qualifier runs

Well I mean he threw down on the first run, so he played it smart the second run. As opposed to Swaney “giving it her all” which I don’t think really even applies to her because she doesn’t seem to have to pushed herself/progressed in the past years at all from what I have seen. And Torin was throwing down with the best at 15. (Less than half Swaneys current age) So they’re really not comparable. I mean why would you even try lol

While Torin clearly went faster I think the judges weren't taking into account the difficulty of Liz's ungrabbed alley-oop 1 (the air awareness to do that cleanly is nuts) and her 3 with the shuffle at the end was something you wouldn't see in the best Bunch edit. Based on what I saw the men doing in the second heat I don't understand why there was any hate on Liz, she's just trying to bring real style to the robotic style of women's pipe.

But I really just have to say I'm upset I didn't see a handplant or butter 7/9 in the men's throwaways

Its because there are plenty of mens pipe skiers better than gus but there isn't a lot of women pipe skiers better than swaney.
 
I mean, look how in control she is compared to TYW. Like, he's all backseat skiing out of control. She has perfect athletic stance and shit, even capping that boot with ease.

She got snubbed pretty hard. I'm not sure what the judges have against Hungarians. She gave it her all and she should be super duper fucking proud for her run. She inspired so many people. It was inspirational as fuck.

Actually it was one of me and my roommates favorite run. Drinking beers and talking shit while laughing at her shit skiing.

I know kindergarteners that are better than swaney. Also, after watching mens qualifiers, the fields definitely pretty wide
 
People keep on calling her the new Eddie the Eagle which is honestly some bullshit cause at least Eddie tried to improve, shes just contempt with going down back and forth. This is the god damn olympics not a make a wish foundation event. She's probably the girl every guy avoids in the olympic village which gives me some solace

Even if you never land a jump, it takes some serious stones to jump off the 70m or even 40m ski jumps, especially if you expect to crash. I don't think anyone in the history of terrible Olympic athletes will ever compare to Eddie the Eagle.

Still she isn't trying to improve and is just happy where she is which ruins the point of the sport and the olympics as a whole. The reason I hate her is she acts like she deserves it.
 
she has a graduate degree from harvard and knew the system. i mean yea she isnt great but still managed to ski down the pipe in an olympic run. ill never be able to say i did that.

It would be cooler to poach it with a flag from whatever country. And I still don't think it'd be cool enough to be worth doing. Being the idiot that can barely ski isn't really cool. I'll never be able to say I rode down the pipe at the olympics, but I don't really care.

Being on course for big events is cool because you get to see the action from a good spot, but I wouldn't want to ride in an event I wasn't skilled in.

She took 2 runs down the pipe, but she didn't compete. Just a waste of time. I will say, laughing at her stupid runs was enjoyable for a lot of people so I guess there's that.
