Tyrolia Protector PR 13 feedback?

Has anyone used the Tyrolia Protector ski bindings? They perform good in tests and reviews; the true release heel and its mechanism appear to be safe. It can greatly help in avoiding ACL tears during a backward twisting fall. I'm seriously considering purchasing them for the next season. Any pros and cons? Opinions on what you think?

they are all good and work as advertised. the ‘con’ so to speak is they will be heavier than their non protector counter part.

I think you'd want the slr over the pr as the pr is on a track system and thus has a higher stand height. With that said the stand height of the slr is 28mm and the height of the attack is 17mm. I think most skiers, especially on ns appreciate a closer to ski feeling. On top of that more moving parts may mean less durability, which could be a turn off for some. Toss in the fact that people think that pivots can achieve the same thing (they can't) and people just avoid it.

The tech is great and I am happy there is something that isn't knee in the market, but I too haven't tried them.

I would definitely rock them if the stack height was lower. Hopefully in a few years the tech will expand to other brands and Tyrolia makes new generation with the same height as regular attacks.
