Spring SnowFest - We've been having a lot of questions about an event in April. Given the crazy warm &
rainy weather so far in March we do not believe we can guarantee enough snow for a successful event in the
middle of April, however, we would be willing to do an event on the weekend of April 18th if snow and
weather are cooperative. We will not be making a decision until Wednesday, April 15th. If we do have
this event we will send out an email and text message (sign up for email & text messages if you haven't
already) with information about the event.
 
I really think this isnt gonna happen. I drove by tyrol a few days ago and there was sooooo little snow left and in another week the is gonna be even less. Maybe enough for a rail jam but that is about it. For sure not enough for jumps or the pond splash. If you don't believe me check out the webcam.
 
Yeah is there isn't as much snow as past years, but it doesn't take much snow to set up a few rails and hike them. There is way more snow than needed in order to hike some rails. Have you seen how big those piles of snow are from the jumps? Push those out and there is plenty.
 
I agree that the snow from the jumps should make enough for rails but it is still a whole week of sun and temps in the 50s. It would be sick if they had it but i doubt they will open if they can only set up some rails. Fuck that stupid weather in march that was in the 70s.
 
It would be so raw if they just had some rails. I've been dying to ride ever since the 20th anniversary thing
 
If they do open, it would be only for hiking cause they will most def will not have enough snow to have a lift open.
 
I called Tyrol today and they said they were planning on having it on the 18th. They aren't going to have the lifts running but they will have the rope tow open with a bunch of rails. There isn't gonna be a comp and its only gonna be $10 for the day. It sounds like it will be a good time.

The only thing is they need to get over 100 emails/calls from people who want to go by noon on friday or it will not happen. So if you are interested at all please let them know so this can happen.

Awesome!!! I just emailed them... even if you guys can't attend, you should email too! (I really want to ski)
And also... how will we know when it is confirmed that it is happening? And what time will it be at?

We have enough snow!!

for the Spring Jam on Sat., April 18th

we will make it happen!

The Jam would be on Saturday

from 11am to 5pm. Tickets for all would

be $10 per person to help cover the

expense of spreading snow,

setting up the rails, and opening.

Sorry, season passes don't count

for this one.

We anticipate enough space

for 5 to 7 simple rail set-ups

and a small to medium jump.

We also think we can have the

Halfpipe area ropetow open.

This is a no pressure,

no contest event. Just come

and have fun hanging out on

the snow with your friends

using up the last snow of the

winter.

Soda and snacks available.

Rentals and Bar have been put away

for the summer (none available).

 
can anyone please give me a ride, 2 of mine fell through and i need to ride i live around highland park if anyones going from there ill meet you and i can pay for gas, please i need to ride
 
Super awesome day despite the rain in the afternoon. Fun shreddin' with the 22 crew and the guys from Chestnut. Culvers sesh after was a blast. Good times had by all!!! I got some decent footy, but I'm going to make a spring jam/nordic jam edit and nordic is next weekend... it's gonna be hyphyyyyyy.
 
We filmed for like 30 minutes then it started to rain, but I'm going to be making a spring jam/nordic jam edit so watch for that in like 2 weeks
