i love people that cant see the progresion that has been inspired by both sports. i feel that skiing would not be where it is today if it were not for snowboarding however snowboarding would not be as good either. each sport has lent something to the other and that is what makes them both great

 
Theres an old 70's frestyle book, i forget the name that tell you to do the backwards snow plow(Aka skiing switch) so skiin switch is not new and twin tips are just natural proggression, they have nothing to do with snowboards
